The Equality Talks series is dedicated to exploring innovative solutions to inequalities worldwide, with a focus on creating a more inclusive future. Through insightful conversations with our partners, we examine the challenges they face and the ways they promote social and economic opportunities. Our goal is to highlight their efforts in building and maintaining relationships across the wealth divide, and to showcase the positive impact they have achieved and strive for in the future.
Watch the latest episode of our 2025 Equality Talks series, featuring Justina Hama, Co-Executive Director of CAMFED Zimbabwe, as she discusses the organisation's groundbreaking efforts to empower marginalised girls and young women in rural Africa. Since 1993, CAMFED has supported over 2.4 million girls across Africa to go to secondary school, revolutionising girls' education and and challenging the status quo.
In Zimbabwe, girls face significant barriers to accessing and completing education, with only 18% of girls in rural areas completing secondary education, and child marriage affecting 39% of girls by age 18 nationwide. But CAMFED is changing this narrative, and Justina shares her insights on how we can work together to create a more equitable future.
