Even for courageous changemakers, the quest to minimise education inequality can be overwhelming. Changemaker- Xchange empowers them with the skills and network they need to drive systemic change on behalf of equal opportunities and wealth equality for all.
Led by ChangemakerXchange (CXC), funded by the Julius Baer Foundation and building on the pilot project of 'Changemakers for Education','Changemakers for Equality' supports initiatives promoting wealth equality across Asia, Africa and Latin America. The focus is on young social entrepreneurs who are shaping solutions for systemic change in their communities.
CXC selects 70 such entrepreneurs to form a community of like-minded innovators. By joining the global CXC network, they access a broader ecosystem of experts. In addition to a summit focused on peer-to-peer learning and collective action, CXC provides customised capacity building to scale participants' ventures as well as seed grants for collaborative cross-border initiatives.

The changemakers become empowered through tailored capacity building and collaboration funding. They benefit from collaborating with other organisations, adopt a more systemic, strategic approach and can sustain, deepen and scale their impact.

OUTPUT
70 changemakers across Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America participate in the project, joining the summits and capacity building sessions and becoming lifelong members of the CXC community.
OUTCOME
The ecosystem becomes more diverse and collaborative. Youth-led initiatives maximise their innovative potential and scale up their approach,leading to systemic wealth inequality reduction across the regions.
HIGHLIGHT
The aim is for the changemakers who have joined the community to collectively drive systemic change, reduce inequality and positively impact the lives of over 50,000 individuals across Asia, Africa and Latin America.
Boosting a synergistic ecosystem for greater impact
• Many young changemakers working towards reducing education inequality lack access to a community where they can openly share the challenges and difficulties of the path they have chosen.
• Their desire for collaboration is high but the opportunities and spaces to do so are limited.
• 94% of them expressed a need for skill development.
• 1 in 4 experience burnout and 78% expressed a need for help to avoid it.
• Without support, they run the risk of abandoning their invaluable projects and activism.
• ChangemakerXchange provides hands-on support and training in areas such as scaling impact, developing strategies for systemic change, fundraising and project management.
• Young social entrepreneurs, innovators, activists and changemakers are given space to connect, increase their know-how and collaborate, enabling greater synergies and impact for them and their initiatives to create more (wealth) equality for all.
